I asked 2 questions:

Q: Can you shoot slugs out of the Browning Maxus, a back bored barrel?
A: ABSOLUTELY, and be sure to use improved cylinder choke tubes or the specific browning offered Express Sabot Rifle Choke Tube. Slugs will not damage the back bored barrel.

Q: Where are they made?
A: Manufactured and assembled in Belgium and Portugal.

Ive heard a lot of information that the back bored barrel is susceptible to problems when shooting slugs. I guess not according to the very nice guy I spoke to from Browning.

Thanks for the info, Chinny33.

As a refugee from El Lay, I'm curious, where are you gonna be shooting those slugs? It's getting harder and harder to shoot in SoCal.

What is the dimensions of the back bored section? I know mossberg, at least, has "DO NOT USE SLUGS" or some such roll stamped on all of their back bored barrels...

back boring just increases the barrel diameter.. not sure why it would not be ok to shoot a slug,, even if it is a mossburg..

Something about a slug being able to get wedged up. Like it starts to tip over or something...
