call them disarmists and traitors

Instead of calling someone an anti-gunner or gun control advocate, how about the term "disarmist"? The term "gun control" sounds reasonable to most people and implies that "common sense gun control laws" are a good idea. There is no confusion about the term disarmist. A disarmist wants to disarm everyone. It's almost magical when you call someone a disarmist. At first, they have to think about what you said. Then they have to decide if they need to divorce themselves from that term...since they don't REALLY want to disarm the country...they just want to blah, blah, blah. The term tends to clarify whether the "traitor" (someone who acts against our country) wants to be identified as a disarmist, or merely wants to pass the latest new gun law. We need to separate all gun control advocates into separate camps. The disarmists need to be identified, isolated, and ridiculed. Most of the nation will back-pedal from the term disarmist, since most people don't really want the population to be disarmed. You've all seen how the disarmists treat us. They attempt to paint us as extremists, nuts, and in the minority. We need to use the same tactics. If you have a better idea, let's use it.

I understand your point, but I'll have to cogitate on this.
A great many folks would wear that label (disarmist) with pride, as did (do) the nuclear disarmists. Unintended consequences, ya know...that label could engender fence-sitter's admiration.
Just a thought

Yes, some disarmists will wear the label with pride, just a some pacifists do. However, it should be clear to fence-sitters that a pacifist disarms him/herself. A disarmist disarms a nation. Disarmist is more of a PC term anyway. Traitor also works, but it sounds extreme to most people.

BTW, when the topic of disarming comes up in conversation, the term "Never Again" should be discussed. The WWII survivors always said Never Again would they let themselves be slaughtered like sheep. However, the disarmists are changing the phrase to "Well, Maybe One More Time".

Mugger-Loving, Traitorous Infringers! Lobbying for a safe workplace for criminals and tyrants. Victimogenic Dis-Empowerers, or how about Murderers and Enslavers by Proxy.

Time to be quiet now. I'm getting cranky.

For our purposes, I think anti-rights is the best terminology.
However, for the U.N., disarmist works well...

Actually, the terminology that I use is "Anti-Self-Defense Extremist.

I've used "anti Bill of Rights" or "Constitution" with *some* sucess, but I think an even more stark term is needed...

Every year, over 2 million Americans use firearms
not to take live but to preserve life,....limb & family
.Gun Control Democrats would prefer that they are all disarmed

How about second amendment rapist? Anti-gun to me is the same as anti-american. I see the point but don't have an answer. In every election I vote pro-gun either for or against and to me pro-gun is the right to own the firearm of choice regardless of what it is. Freedom is about choice, it has nothing to do with need.

My prefered term for "Gun Control" is "Victim Disarmnement(sp)"... I think I first picked it up from either Vin S. or L. Neil S.
