California RKBA signature gathering period has begun!

We have until April 15, 2006 to gather our signatures.

We still need volunteers to help us gather at gun shows and to make sure local gun stores have forms! Especially in counties that currently have no volunteers!

I hope you don't limit yourself to gathering signatures at gun-related venues. I suspect there's a lot of people in San Francisco who would like to sign it too.
 
With the less than spectacular response to our call for volunteers, our first priority is to get gun stores and similar locations blanketed. If we have a hard time just getting people willing to take a stack of forms to a few local stores and ranges, we aren't going to get them to stand in front of any non-gun venues.

I'm sure we can handily get enough signatures if we can just get the forms into every gun store, range, gun show, etc. We just need more volunteers, especially in counties that aren't covered now. There aren't a lot of people in the un-covered counties, but those people are a lot more likely to be willing to sign than in "the big city".
 
Once I find out when I'll be going to Russia, I may plan a trip out there to gather signatures, for old times' sake.

Sorry about the gun woes in CA. Im in TX and really cannot leave or i would come help. Good Luck and dont worry we will prevail.:D ;)
 
CelticMP - I wouldn't ask anyone to leave the United States to try to fight the enemy behind lines :D Heck, I may very well be leaving California in the near future.

mvpel - Whatever happened with your situation where you were grabbed by the cops for legally carrying?
 
i graduate college in may, and will be moving to Sacramento soon after. is that too late to help out? if not i will help out all i can.:cool:

The signature gathering period ends April 15, 2006 So, in a way, yes. But you can register to vote as soon as you get here! And pay attention... if we don't get enough signatures, or if we do and are then defeated at the ballot, we'll try again in '08
 
I'm in SLO County, and could print copies of the petition and take them to gunshops in here town, etc. I can't really invest much more time than that, but I'd be happy to help out as much as I can...

Any chance you might be able to hang out at the Paso Robles gun show in two weeks to gether signatures? Even one day, or a half a day? We'll get you in for free... ;)
 
There's a gunshow in Paso the week before Christmas? Doesn't seem like the smartest of ideas...

In any event, unfortunately I'll be in Washington the next couple weeks... a place, unlike this state, that I can actually carry in... :)

Sure it does! Christmas presents! :D My mom knows that the things I'd like best can be found at gun shows :D
