Calibers and Ranges

Has anyone ever seen a chart or graph showing various rifle calibers and the distances they can shoot? MOA drop would also be nice.

I notice every once in a while that someone is curious about what different calibers can or cannot do and such a chart would be good to refer to.

Most of the major ammo makers make ballistics tables for their ammo. You can go, for example, to the Remington Ballistics Calculator and compare various factory cartridges, different bullet weights, with just a few clicks. It's a great online resource.

The problem with making a generic, see-all table is that it would become cluttered very quickly.

Boy that statement is a can of worms just waiting to be opened. Depends entirely on the type of shooting that you plan to do. The best thing you can do is plug your basic info into a ballistics calculator to determine this.

What a cartridge can and can't do is more dependent on the shooter and application than a ballistics chart.
