Utah shooting rules. I shoot up providence and Millville canyon. what are the rules for shooting in canyons i looked on utah.gov but there isn't much. 150yards away from people camp grounds roads and buildings. and no shooting tree or across roads. anything else im missing. what are the Rules about shooting during the deer hunt?

I also here you can shoot on BLM land in the west fields were alot of people duck hunt, near wellsville. what are those Rules about shooting on BLM land??

Typically going to/calling a BLM field office is a good way to go, the rangers are often aware of the common places people use to shoot or places they would prefer people to shoot. At the very least they can direct you to areas that fit all the BLM and state criteria. http://www.blm.gov/ut/st/en.html is a good place to start, find out what district you're in and give the local office a call or visit.

Can't stress this enough, Clean up! Even if the place is trashed already(sadly popular spots usually are), there's no reason to add to it.

i shoot close to those areas, up on top of monte cristo. in the national forest. i've had rangers come and talk to me, remind me to be careful. mostly they wanted to look at what i was shooting. i've never had a problem there.
