Cabela's SAA Opinions?

If your talking about their "Millenium" revolver, it's made by Uberti. Even though the matt finish is kinda ugly, the price makes it a pretty darn good deal. I know some folks who have purchased one and then steel-wooled the finish off, giving it a sort of antique look.

Uberti makes a decent product. Lots of Cowboy Action shooters use their revolvers and reproduction rifles. Personally, I shoot two Uberti 1875 Remington reproductions in 3 CAS matches a month. The only problem I have had is a broken handspring. CAS puts a lot of stress on guns that they wouldn't normally suffer, but Uberti's seem to be able to hold up to it.

The Millenium revolvers sold by Cabela's are a good deal. They do have brass grip frames, so it's best not to shoot real hot loads in them. A spring kit will probably help out the action.
