Cabelas raises prices

Just as someone previously predicted....Cabelas raised prices on some of their BP firearms after the new year. Specifically, I note the Walker went from $399 to $419 since yesterday. I'm sure some of the other revolvers have gone up too. It's kind of odd that Cabelas already had one of the higher prices on their Uberti made Walker. Buffalo Arms has it for $363 while Dixie Gun Works has it for $355. Cabelas does not do price matching either.

The 1858 New Army .44 and the 1858 New Army Police .36 are still $189.99

With the weakening dollar I can't imagine that will last long though.

There was a sign on the doors of my local Cabela's in Dundee, MI that said something along the lines that they would do price matching. Now, I didn't read it carefully because I'd already gotten a good deal on my 1858 Remmy, but maybe they'll do it in-store if you go in person.

Yeah, the prices on everything are going up . Since the Consumer Price Index didn't go up in 2009, we poor old Civil Service retirees aren't getting a Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) increse for 2010:( . How am I gonna buy more C&Bs that way ?????????? I may have to cut back to one every other month .

Well it finally happened. They raised the price of those two pistols to $239.99! Sadly it happened before I got my tax return:(
The good news is that the 1851 Confederate Navy (brass frame) is still $120 and the 1860 Army Revolver .44 is still $189.99. I sure had my heart set on a pair of 1858s but a 51 and a 60 at those prices might cheer me up a little bit.
