Another tragedy, but I'll bet not near the airplay as if it was by gunfire.

Four Calif. People Stabbed to Death
PICO RIVERA, Calif. (AP) -- An intruder apparently slipped into a home while a family was sleeping and stabbed four people to death, three of them children, police said.
A teen-ager who had been asleep in the house found her mother suffering from stab wounds about 3 a.m. Friday and ran next door to get help.
Officers who arrived at the suburban Los Angeles home found the bodies of a 42-year-old man, a 14-year-old girl and two boys, ages 10 and 17, sheriff's Lt. Marilyn Baker said. A 39-year-old woman was hospitalized with stab wounds, and three other girls in the house were unharmed.
Their identities and relationships were not immediately released, but neighbors said the man and woman were parents of four children and were raising two nieces.
Baker said the victims were apparently asleep when an intruder slipped in. Deputy Carlos Lopez said that there were no signs of forced entry but that no scenario had been ruled out.
The wounded woman described the intruder to deputies as a young man in his 20s, Deputy David Cervantes said.
The killings occurred during a heat spell, and neighbors worried that the killer may have taken advantage of windows left open at night.
''This is the last time I'm sleeping with the windows open,'' said Mari Estrada, who lives a block away in the working-class neighborhood, about 10 miles southeast of downtown Los Angeles.
