Ca. ccw

i would like to know if it is stupid of me to even attempt to get a ccw in ca.
if not what do i need to get one? any and all comments are welcome.. thanks in advance.

This is a county by county thing and location makes a big difference. If you're in the SF Bay area, CA CCW is pretty much an oxymoron . Let those with experience know where you are located so they can direct you to the appropriate gummit officials.

Take a look at the California page on packing.org

At the bottom there's a CA map with the counties graded for ease of CCW.

In So Cal: Orange, San Bernardino, Ventura, Kern, San Diego counties are good; Riverside, Santa Barbara iffy; L.A. no-go unless you're a celebrity or contribute >$10k to the Sheriff's re-election fund.

I've heard both ways; I defer to your first hand experience.

Still, packing.org is the first stop for info on CCW ANYWHERE, not just for Kali.
