Just got a C96 from IAR (9mm).

It came with a removable 10 and 20 rd magazine and slightly resembles the Model 712. Does anybody know the where these guns come from? According to Sean at IAR, the uppers and internals are German and the lowers are Chinese. Im mainly wondering if this is one of those dangerous Chinese Mausers I have read about. Any info or experiences would be appreciated.
