How "drop in" are the C&S Browning Hi Power Drop In Trigger Pull Sets? I'm specifically looking at the CS284 - Browning Hi Power Type II Commander Hammer, Sear Trigger Pull Set with Duty Carry Spring Kit.

Thanks.

I still take all my drop in stuff like that to the gunsmith especially triggers. I imagine most of the time it works as it should but then a little help never hurt. :D

The only thing in this world thats a true drop in is unwanted relatives

Very True!!!

I bought the same kit you speak of and had to rework the original thumb safeties sear contact radius to clear the sear leg as the safety was moved up, but still lock the sear firmly in place. Then I had to relieve the slot at the bottom of the sear leg, so that when the thumb safety was disengaged, the sear could move over the top and operate correctly. The hammer pivot hole had burrs inside and I had to clean them out with a drill bit wrapped in croqus cloth. I replaced the original trigger with a wide target model from C&S and had to alter the rear so it would clear the magazine. I replaced the factory thumb safety with an extended one from C&S and I had to polish the pivot shaft to get it to fit into the hammer pivot hole and rework the sear stop radius to lock the sear firmly into place and prevent it from moving.

It works perfectly but it was not "Drop In"!!!
