im not sure this is in the right place. i know that c&r means curreos and relics and that pretty much means antiques or something like and full auto c&r are still required to be registered but what exactly does it mean when a firearm is considered a c&r?

Yes, full auto C&R's are required to be registered just like any other machinegun. A C&R is for the most part any gun older than 50 years of age or any gun the government has decided is collectible and has added to a list of C&R firearms by name.

Some states only allow the civilians to own C&R machineguns. Plus, a person with a C&R license can purchase a C&R machinegun (with applicable paperwork) from anyone in the US and have it shipped to his door.

App can be downloaded from atf.gov. Bennies: you can buy eligible guns without going through NICS or filling out a 4473, you can take direct delivery without going through a "real" FFL, and several places give discounts to C&R holders.
