C&R license...

Is there any other way to apply for a C&R license other than the ATF's website(phone)?
I have attempted to print the C&R license application from the ATF's site but it will not print correctly.
Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

I just called them up and asked for an application. Got it in the mail in a couple weeks. Still hanging onto it.

What hounddawg said, I also just called them up and it was in the mail within days. Processing the application, however, took 6 weeks. Well worth the wait, but be careful - you will be tempted to make purchases just because you can!

Is there a downside to the C&R license? I am thinking of the fact that a holder of a FFL has to have a place of business and is subject to inspection at any time. I realize C&R isn't a business license, but what about inspections? Thanks, Jerry

Ecclesiastes 12:13  ¶Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14  For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

JerryM - While BATF reserves the right to inspect the collections of type 03 FFL holders, I have never heard of this happening to folks who use the license in the spirit in which it is intended - to facilitate a private collection.

OTOH, if you use the license to try and conduct the sale of C&R's for a profit you may attract attention.

Just make sure you keep your bound book in order and all should be well.
