i hope i'm posting this in the appropriate section.......
I am VERY seriously considering getting my C&R FFL license (i already have the paperwork) but have a question...I will be moving (MOST likely) to an unknown state in 9 months to 1 year. my question is, what would be the procedure and/or hassle (if any) with keeping the license legal if i move (as it requires my address and 'local' law enforcement endorsement)? would i be better off waiting till i move? is it a simple form to just change the home address? would my 'new local' law enforcement have to 're-endorse' some paperwork?
sorry if this has been ansewred before. cant seem to find in on the BATFE's site and couldn't seem to spot it in a search here or on THR. Thanks in advance.

JR,

Write a letter to the BATFE with your new change of address. They will change the data in their computers and reissue you a new license. I think (I'm about to go to bed so this is just a quick answer) that you have around 30 days to give them a heads up.

Even if I move next door, I have to give them a heads up. They just care about where you are so that all the paperwork comes together. Not a big deal. They just want to know where you are.
