C&R headspace gauges

I am planning on getting a (or many) Mosin-Nagant rifle(s). But to see whether they are safe to fire, I am going to get some headspace gauges. Do I need to get both the GO and NO GO gauges, or just the No Go?

What exactly is the procedure? And Where can I get them for cheap? I know Brownell's has them for about $20 each. Thanks

Joe

Some good rifles will close on a no-go gauge, as the gauge manufacturers don't always make the gauges to the same dimensions. (helpful, huh?!)

I think a field gauge would be more helpful; as if that goes, then the rifle needs help.
