I have an old percussion pistol that I can find no info on. It is marked on top of the octagonal barrel "C. Funk in Suhl". It is an approx. 8" bbl of about .50 cal, and deeply rifled. The barrel and lock plate are lightly engraved, and the front sight is apparently German silver.
Although antique guns are not in my area of expertise, it appears this gun may have been a flintlock originally, and converted later, based on the very plain hammer/screw, which does not match the fancy hardware on the rest of the piece.
Any info anybody has would be appreciated. Dave
