C.F. Rodgers shotgun

Friend of mine gave me old shotgun she inherited from an uncle. It's a 12-guage double-barrel hammerlock, says C. F. Rodgers on hammer plate on each side, some carving, what looks like a pheasant at back of plate on both sides. Gun a little rusty, stock broken just behind triggers and put back together by wrapping fine copper wire all the way from trigger guard to where stock expands. Anyone have any information about guns like this? I'm not familiar with C. F. Rodgers. tried to add photo but it won't upload

I am not familiar with the "C.F. Rodgers" name, but Rodgers was a name used on shotguns made in Belgium a century or more ago, probably on guns for export, but yours sounds like it's nicer than what I've run across.

Rogers was a name used by the Crescent gun company on some of their hardware store guns.

thanks for the reply. i'm trying to upload a photo of the side plate on the gun, but it keeps giving me upload error and i can't find anyplace where it explains what the error is. it's just a jpg on my desktop so i don't know why it won't work. i'm not a computer geek and my kids are off at college so i can't get them to straighten it out. so it goes
