Buying used..

Would appreciate comments on buying used handguns, police exchanges in particular, as a good source for quality handguns at reasonable prices.
In particular:
-Names of reputable sources
-what to look for in a used semi-auto
-what recourse, if any, do you have with your seller if you have a problem withthe gun.
-How much off the price of new would you expect
Thanks in advance.

1. KY Imports, CDNN, Midwest Gun Exchange, SOG, and Kieslers.
2. Check for wear, tear, and alignment (condition of barrel, slide to frame fit, cracked parts, etc). If the pistol appears to be heavily used replace all the springs. I have even sent a gun back to the factory for a check out and update before shooting.
3. When buying used sight unseen you should always get a 3-day inspection. You are NOT allowed to shoot the gun, only inspect it to determine if it is as presented.
4. Depends on the pistol. Could be anywhere from above retail to 50% off. A used Bren 10 is $900-$1000, more than it sold for new. I sold a used Raven for $25, less than half of its price when new.
