Buying my first S&W 686P-6

So, I have a decent amount of semi-autos in the safe and now I want to buy a revolver. This gun won't be carried so it's just for fun. I have an opportunity to purchase a S&W 686P with a 6" barrel at what I think is a very good price.

Any issues or concerns from anyone here regarding this particular model? Thanks in advance.

I have a 686-4 4" and a 686P-6 2.5". I love them both. If the price is right and the gun hasn't been abused, buy that sucker!

Few things in life are better than a S&W wheel gun. Shoot it with pride, and have fun.

Pics and range report are expected, otherwise you're just bragging...

The 686 is one of the nicest da revolvers ever made. If the price and condition (if you're looking at a used revolver) is right, go for it. You'll always be glad you did and, conversely, if you don't, it'll be one of those "almost purchases" that will haunt you for the rest of your days.

Shot my new 686P yesterday and wow! This gun was a pure pleasure to shoot. Felt like shooting a 22 with 38 Special rounds and wasn't terrible with 357. I am so glad I got this gun. Awesome revolver.

I've never had a 686, but have two S&W Model 19s, a 4" and a 2.5". I sold a 627 that was the most accurate Double-Action .357 I've ever shot, but it was way to heavy to carry and got bored with it. Love the 19s, however, and they carry well.
