Buying from Cabela's

Heck, when I walked into the Scarboro, Maine Cabela's to buy my 2012 Maine Non-resident Big Game Hunting License last week ($116), the greeter was offering $25 off anything bought that day, if I signed up for a new Cabela's Visa.

Hmmmmmmm - So, I said: "Is the $25-off good for a hunting license purchase ?"

Answer: "ANYTHING you buy & put on the Visa card - we load an immediate $25 payment.credit into every new card ASAP it's issued."

I said: "Sign me up !" :D

15 mins later, I had my $116 license for $91, and paid off the $91 balance - and will most likely cancel the Visa card next month, so I can do it again next year. :p

Except for the guns themselves, everything related to muzzleloading and "black powder" is marked up to the moon at my local Cabelas.

Black powder is in quotes because at Cabelas, "black powder" seems to mean Pyrodex, Triple 7, or BH209.
