Buying a gun from out of state

From what I have learned and if it is correct, in Pa., one is able to purchase a black powder pistol and not have to go through the registration process. If that is correct, what are the laws if I would buy a black powder pistol from this site and it is out of state?? Can it be shipped direct to a house??

Strictly speaking, and considering that your residence is in PA, which I'm sure arcticap was doing, he is correct.

Just a slight clarification, however, for other readers who may not be fully aware of what he's saying: there is no FEDERAL restriction on buying a black powder gun from another state and having it sent directly to the buyer, and it can be done using USPS as the carrier regardless of whether it's a hand gun or long gun.

There MAY be state or local laws making that purchase illegal, however. New York state comes to mind as an example of that circumstance.

Not the entire state of New York. Only the five counties that comprise New York City, I believe. I have sold and shipped by USPS, a BP gun to a resident of Buffalo, New York with no complications and he assured me it was all legal there.
