How about A Sig P226?

Great launch platform for this popular cartridge. If it compares
to the 9m/m P226, you will find it to be one of the most accurate
firearm's in the world. :) :D

hard to say for me since no one I know has anything in .357 sig...

Gotta find some place that rents these so I can try them out...

Well, I've never tried any of the others on the list, but my G-32 is one of the best guns I have, period.

Not the prettiest, but I forgive ugly when a gun functions as well as mine does in all aspects; reliability, accuracy, ergonomics, trigger, balance, power-to-weight, etc. The list goes on.

Took a stack of non-shooters to the range with it. It was the hands-down favorite. And either I know secret marksmen, or that gun is very easy to shoot. They were getting consistent hits on soda cans at forty YARDS on their first time out, once they had about twenty rounds of practice to figure out how to use the sights. Must be something good about it.

The only thing I can complain about is the lack of blued steel and polished walnut. If Glock ever figures out a way to put wood grips on their guns, I'll have a problem, because I'll have to buy one of each model.

A lot of people can't stand 'em, for a lot of good reasons. Those reasons were enough to convince me until I tried one. Now all I've got is: "I'm impressed."

I imagine the 32 and 33 are somewhat interchangeable, but I've never shot or handled a baby Glock, so I don't know, personally.

Like I said, it's one of my best handguns, of about thirty, revolvers included. I just wish it didn't look so, so..."Practical."

Just my experience, and two cents...

I picked the G32. I have one and it has been a pretty good pistol. No jams that I can recall. Recoil is peppy. 14 round mags are available (G23 mags), but a bit pricey. I don't shoot it a lot though because 9mm factory ammo is half the price and .45 and 10mm reloads are a quarter of the price.

I hate the way the 239 feels in my hand. YMMV

I don't care for HKs.

All of the ones (and many others) would be a great choice. There is one major difference though that separates them into two categories. The Grip angles will be entirely different and usually one will appeal to a shooter while the other will not. The SiG, H&K and Sringfield XD will all have one grip angle while the GLOCKS will be entirely different.

Try a GLOCK and one of the others. That should immediately eliminate half of your choices. If you like the way the GLOCK feels and points, you should go with one of them. If the SiG, H&K or XD feel better, then drop the GLOCKs.

Of the ones you have listed, a G32. That's one of my primary carry guns, and fits me well after a little work on the trigger guard. I would also look at SIG 229. In the end, you'll have to try them out and see what fits. I'd love to have the 239 fit me, but it's way too dinky. I tried to make a G33 work, but also way too small, even with grip extenders. HK is apparently no longer making the 357 SIG, but I see them around.

G32 would be my pick of those listed.

Like the G19 and G23, it offers a very attractive combination of size, weight, capacity. "Small enough to tote, big enough to compete with or hang a light off of". If you just had to have a hammer and didn't mind spending more, then the slightly larger USPc would be a good choice, too.

of what you've listed i'd go with the glock 32 also, but i also have to side with those who would vote for the sig 226 as the beat .357sig platform

For me, it came down to a choice between the Sig P226 and the P229. I went with the full size pistol, the P226.

The recoil is much more managable, the extra sight radius makes a difference in my accuracy, and in my hand it felt better balanced.

If I was going to own a .357sig, it was going to be a SIG pistol.

Having said that, of the pistols you listed, I have a USP Compact in .40 that is an awfully sweet shooter. If the USPc can handle the .40, it should handle the .357 without any trouble.
