buying 2 handguns in the 5 day period?

OK, I have had my CCW for years, so I can just pick a gun and buy the same day. I know that if you buy more than one in a 5 day period, you have to fill out a special form, which kind of puts you under a slight microscope. I picked up a snubbie today, (Friday) and am expecting one in on Monday that is being sent. I figured, ok, Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, and Im good to go, but nope, five WORKING days, so that means a WEEK from next Monday. I dont know if I can wait that long. I just got a new one today so I should be good, but Im not. Should I just wait the 5 days, which actually means 10 real days? Is the paper work sending up red flags to everyone that I am some kind of kook? or is it no big deal. Half the sales guys say, nah, its just another form to fll out, and the other half say, I wouldnt do it, then every one wants to know why you need so many. I am impatient, I have a beautiful LS60 on the way. Help.

Thanks.

Ain't freedom grand?

I'm not going to go through all of the rhetoric of how wrong waiting is; I'm weary of it. I'll just say that it's a sad, sad commentary on our times, not to mention an obscene gesture to every veteran, living or dead.

The additional form is the responsibility of the FFL holder... and it is used to alert the BATF of multiple purchases of the same make/model.

This is a requirement put in place to help track down the flea market guys that would buy half a dozen Ravens at the local gun shop then take them to the Flea market and re-sell them without paperwork... Doing such a business requires you be licensed...

I wouldn't worry about it, but them I'm already on so many lists... what's one more?

I agree with 9x19, no big deal. They already have my name and info from CCW license, C&R license, assorted 4473's, NFA weapons, former military & security clearance, VA home loan, etc. Hell, I even asked for and recieved an autographed photo of Bush for my autograph collection. Guess the Secret Service has me listed now, too. What's one more list? Don't sweat it.

It shouldn't be ten days, the next Friday would be fifth working day, so you have to wait only seven days.
Here in KY, there's no restrictions such as you've mentioned. However we do have to fill out a short form and a call is made to the Feds for instant backround check. That's about 5 minutes.
I don't have a CCW yet. I open carry when hiking or camping, and glovebox it in the car (which is legal in KY);)
