Buy it wholesale

gun clubs are eligible for FFLs.

If you want good prices, join one that has an FFL

If you can't find one, then organize one.

Establish accounts with a very large wholesale distributor. Get together with several other members and order in bulk.

My club orders 250,000 primers in an order.

Cabale's charges $32-$34 per thousand, plus shipping and hazmat.

I pay ~ $23/thousand OTD at my club.

The hazmat will always be the burden for those of us who budget in the twenty dollar range. A box of primers at a store is easily accomplished and it costs more, but with $30 to get something delivered it's cheaper to pay more.

the guy who owns my range had an ffl, and within a couple years he surrendered it because it was too darned much work. Getting a co-op together would be great for some people in some areas. Mostly areas where well to do shooters budget their annual purchases in the thousands.

"...he surrendered it...too darned much work..." Any time you get involved with unelected civil servants your work load goes up. Selling hunting licences was like that in the shop I worked in long ago. More government rules and regulations with 'em than there were for selling firearms. Boss said he sold 'em just as a convenience for the customers.
Not seeing where an FFL is required to buy reloading components in any quantity. You certainly will not get credit terms from any distributor just because you have a Federal Firearms Licence.
