Buy Guns Made In America...

because it feels good when it says MADE IN THE USA. American companies make quality guns and back up their products with good, quality service. Enjoy the satisfaction and comradery of owning a gun that was produced by an American worker. Take pride in owning the quality firearms this great nation produces.

Ummmm yeah. Forgive me if I don't buy a Clinton & Wesson & Faust.

Show me one US made gun that can even come CLOSE to the level of quality and able to take the punishment that my Glock can take.

BTW, WTF does this have to do with legal and political?

Dear CleanCut:

I believe in another great American philosophy: free market economics. Build the best guns at competitive prices, and we will buy 'em. Build inferior product and/or price them too high, and we won't. American workers neither need nor deserve to be coddled or pandered to.

P.S. (to otherwise worthy American gun manufacturers): Forget our RKBA, and we'll forget you!

Boring!

Eat no cheese unless it was made in America!

Despite the fact that extra aged Appenzeller has no compare in the USA.

If a foreign company makes a good gun and the country is not some cesspool - then its fine with me.

Made in USA is, always has been, and always will be my preference. However, I will spend my dollars where they will give me the best value.

American cheese wins hands down. Best low fat, low cholesterol brands. Will be happy to eat foreign cheese if they make what I like.

Fine American guns like the Brazilian made Springfield, or damn furrin' guns like the Beretta 92 made in Accokeek, MD? Okay, MD isn't really America, but you get my point. And don't the French own Winchester and Browning, and the Limeys S&W?

What a silly concept. I buy the best. Where it is made is of no consequence to me.

Everbody knows who makes the best firearms. Hint: it's the country who gave us Heidi Klum and the V2.

Good point.

I thought we went through this whole bit over cars. People were shouting "Buy American Cars" in the '70s, when you absolutely could not buy an American made car as reliable or well made as those from Japan and Germany.

American cars got better -- way better. Why? Becuase the consumers voted with their dollars, and Detroit realized that the only way out of Chapter 11 was to build something that could face a Toyota on a level playing field.

I'll buy American, or German, or Italian, or Korean, or whatever, based on who makes the best product for my needs. I will not allow my patriotism to be taken advantage of by people who want me to buy an inferior product so they can make money. My devotion is to this country and its people, not to the wallets of substandard manufacturers.

I buy what I want AND can Afford in fact I just bought 2 Smith & Wessons, and I don't wnat any flack about it. Of course one was made in 1940 and the other in 1894 ;) so I guess Slick & Weasle wont be to excited about it.

Sure is nice, though, when you get a good product MADE IN THE USA. Sorry, I guess I'm just kind of PATRIOTIC, if that's means anything to anybody anymore. Just imagine a world where there are no Rugers, Savages, Remingtons and S&W's (forget the politics for a minute). All we would have would be a bunch of overpriced imported guns and those tomato stake commie guns. Well, here we go..
Ride on cowboy, yeehaw!

My Para-Ordnance was made in Canada and the springfield armory 1911 I compared it to was made in some South American company (maybe Brazil or Argentinia). Hmmmm American company, yet foriegn made. I chose the pistol that felt better in my hand. Para-Ordnance was my choice. Nice pistol! You choose the pistol you want, and I'll choose the one I like. Free market baby...

Coinneach, I like the furniture on that Springfield! Where'd you get the extended slide stop and hammer?

SA Scott

Scott, the slide stop and hammer are Wilson. I got them in trade for work at my dealer. The grips had no name on the packet, but they fit perfectly (both the gun and my hand).

That *is* a purty li'l gun, innit? :D
