Buy gun from Canada?

I found a shop in Canada that sells a rifle I'm interested for quite a bit cheaper than I can find it in the US. Not sure if US or Canadian laws would prevent this, or if there are fees involved that would sour the deal. Anyone have any information? Thanks.

You need an importer/dealer. Chances are, the fees will end up souring the deal, unless you're talking about a gun you found for, say, $1000 cheaper or somethin.

And don't forget the waiting period involved. Likely, it'll take 6 months or more to clear it through Customs, BATF, and hwat ever agencies need to fondle it in Canada.

Good luck.

To get the scoop on our absurd gun laws up here, contact David Tomlinson, he is the NFA's (Canada's national gun group) Legal Committee Chairman. He has helped me a couple of times already sorting out our gun laws.
