BUY A CAR GET A GUN!!

I just saw on NBC this guy in Powell TN, Greg "Lumpy" Lambert. He is a used car salesman and he is running a promotion Buy A Car, Get A Gun.
Yes!!

He did a great job deflecting the onslaught of the liberal show host.

The only thing he didnt do was when asked about registration and comparing cars to guns, he failed to state that it is like comparing Apples to Oranges. A Firearm is a fundamental right guranteed by the United States Constitution. A Car is not.

Should we register which newspapers we publish letters to the editors in, or what church we go to? NO.

Also when asked "would you feel bad if someone where killed by one of these guns?"

His response was ok but could have been better. He did say that people kill, not guns, but he could also have said, "SHould I FEEL bad every time some DUI person kills in an automobile? Because 50 times more people are killed by autos every year than guns. Maybe more. Am I responsible for the behavior of a drunkard that gets behind the wheel?"

Of course not.

I cant stand these LIBERALS that want to eliminate my Bill of Rights piece by piece. Not just the 2nd, but all are under attack.

orsogato,

I saw it also and pretty much agree with your analysis. I give Lumpy some positive points for his actions and being willing to stand up for what he believes in. But he could have been just a tad bit more prepared and tried to look more at ease.

The only other thing I would add is this response to Matt Lauer, "Matt, do you REALLY think that someone is going to come in here and buy a new car to get a new rifle just to turn around and sell it to someone else? Let's try to be a little more realistic please."

"Walk softly and carry a big back-up piece."

Saw "Lumpy" this morning too.

I thought he was great. Kept his cool and was quick to correct and deflect the stuff that Lib. Lauer was throwing at him.

Best was at the end. He had just finished putting some holes in the licensing and registration comparision to cars put forth by HCI, though I, too, wish he had come at that from a 2nd amendment perspective. Lauer said something like "Hand Control seems to be upset with you. What do you think of that?"

Lumpy responds..."Well of course they're upset with me. They want to ban all guns and I'm giving them away." :D Finally got that one out in front of the soccer moms.

Lumpy also said that he wasn't just handing a rifle to anyone who buys a car, but that they get a voucher to be redeemed at a local FFL who will then perform a criminal background check. When asked what people in big cities should think of his give-away since they bear the brunt of "gun violence", he said it wasn't the guns, it's the fact that big cities are the homes to a lot of people with evil in their hearts and they are the cause of crime. Every time Lauer tried to "get him", he came back at him calmly and reasonably, with kind of a "You big city folk just don't seem to get it." attitude.

The Today Show really screwed up on this one. They put "Lumpy" on as their first big story after the 7:00 news segment. Seems to me that this is a high viewer time, when people are getting ready for work and getting the kids ready for school. They thought that Lauer was going to mop the floor with this weak-minded, knuckle-draggin' bumpkin'. Didn't work. He came off great.

WAY TO GO "LUMPY"!!! :D :) :D

Thanks from all of us,

Rob

Yep,

I forgot to mention that Matt Lauer makes me Nauseated every time that left wing liberal opens his mouth.

Did anybody hear his interview with Tom Clancy? He asks Clancy if "his book is too conservative."

Clancy slams him and says well if it is tooo conservative 8 million copies would not have been sold. Clancy said I let the people vote for my book with their dollars!! Great Answer.

GO LUMPY!! :) :)
He seems to be a good American citizen.

Buy my S&W revolver for "only" $8,000.00 and I will give you a car. A primo 1990 Plymouth Voyager which I only used to drive to church on Sundays. Honest!
