Buy a Beretta Elite or hold out for Elite 2?

Stumbled across a deal at a local gun shop on a new Beretta 9mm Brigadier Elite. Price on the gun is $680, but dealer says he'll knock $100 off that price if I buy one (since he got such a good deal on a recent purchase of these weapons). So, is $580 a good deal? Should I hold out for an Elite 2? Is the Elite 2 really that much better than the Elite 1? One final question; I assume that pre-ban 92F 15 round magazines will fit the Elite 2. Is this correct? Thanks for the help.

New E II's are quite rare right now, new batch due out sometime next month and they'll probably be around $700 depending on the dealer. All 92 series have interchangeable mags.

I've shot both an E1 and an E2. Aside from the obvious finish difference and I think the recessed crown on the barrel of the E2, there isn't much difference. They are both wonderful pistols and great shooters. The benefit (for me) of the elite is the decocker only feature of the safety. Though that price (580) is only 50 less than I paid for mine 2 years ago. Still, not a bad deal. When they make an elite vertec, I'm gonna look into that one as well.
