While I was in college, I remember looking through a book called, I think, "Medical/Legal Investigation of Death" my roommate had brought home (don't ask me why he brought it home, it had nothing to do with what he was studying, he was kind of weird). In the book, there were many gruesome photos, but I recall one in particular. It was of a nightwatchman who had been murdered by a burglar. The burglar hit the nightwatchman in the back of the head at least twice with a crowbar, causing severe lacerations to the scalp, which led to the man bleeding to death. When I read the above story, this image immediately flashed into my mind.
I know that no one on this board would think she went overboard, but I wonder how many people in the anti-gun crowd think she did--I'll bet there are at least a few. Maybe if they saw some real-life photos of the aftermath of murders they wouldn't be so quick to condemn and try to confiscate.
