Bushnell Banner 6-18X50 vs. Simmons 6-18X50

Alright, both of these scopes have adjustable objectives and the same size lenses. I'm wondering which scope will be more durable and clearer and worth it for the money. The Bushnell Banner 6-18X50AO goes for $129.99 at Cabela's, and the Simmons Pro50 6-18X50AO goes for $119.99 at Cabela's.
BTW, will I need to get extra tall rings to compensate for the large, 50mm objective diameter lens? Should I just opt for the Simmons 6-18X40 Prohunter AO scope so I don't need extra-tall rings?

Bushnell Banner's 6x18 AO

With the Banner 6x18x50 AO you will need high rings.

A few weeks ago I strolled into the Sporting Goods Department at the local WAL-MART. They had 2 Bushnell Sportsview 4x12x45 [medium rings] on close out for $55 each.

The wife paid $89.95 for the 3 ssshe has had on her rifles for 5 years.

Needless to say, I spent almost that much for 2 sets of medium rings.
