yes. i have one of the m4 shorty ak( for the m/brake designation)
like any rifle with a m/brake it is a little on the loud side, especially if you happen to be one of the lucky shooters on either side.
like any other 16" ar it is a nice gun 1/9 chrome lined barrel digest pretty much any ammo you feed it etc. were you looking for specific info?
Look at the thread under "Bushmaster" (manufacturers) on ar14.com. You might not want an AR with a welded-on brake, as barrel/sight, etc., work will be made next to impossible.
Also, why would you want to give up 1.5" of rifled barrel?
I have one and Love it. The rifle is very accurate and with the brake there is little to no muzzle jump. I have fired over 2000 rounds without a single failure. If you dont count the time I used a sorry mag.
