Bushmaster rifles???

At a gunshow I saw some Bushmaster AR type rifles with a welded on muzzle brake. They were about $100 less than the Bushmasters without brakes laying next to them. They all were NIB & looked similar. Why were the ones with brakes cheaper? Are they made with lower quality parts? Thanks!
 
Did the 2 varieties have the same sights? If you see a cheap AR - look @ the sights. The less expensive guns always have the "A1" sights (require a tool or sharp instrument to adjust, usually 1 MOA adjustments), while the more expensive, more current guns have the "A2" sights (finger knobs, usually half MOA adjustments).

My guess is that the sights on the two guns were different. If the guns are both Bushmasters, you can be confident that the quality is very good.
