Bushmaster police trade-in

There's a place selling good condition, non railed foregrip Bushmaster AR15 trade-ins for $750, which I feel is too much; seeing as I could get a new Spike's Tactical for $100 more with shipping/ ffl (though I'd probably have to wait forever...).

What would be a fair price to offer? They have 10 of them, so it's not like they're in short supply.

It depends a lot on model, add-ons/configuration and condition but $750 is a lot to pay for a used Bushmaster. There's probably a good reason they still have ten so be ready to walk out if they don't drop the price $100.

Myself, I'd kick in a little more and get something better.

I have owned a number of Bushmaster AR’s and have a target gun I built from their parts.
I have been a big fan of their products and will continue to be, but with that said I also agree with everyone. That’s just too much for a trade in carbine with few options added.
How many magazines? A case or any other items can bring the value up. Offer 150 less and see how they react. Having a large number they should be in the mood to take off $ but then again you have no idea what they have invested in them. Gun shops can be stupid!
As long as the gun has not been abused you’re going to be happy with a Bushmaster, they are good guns and good value for the money.

A CMMG Bargain Bin can be had for $599. Why is a used Bushmaster worth more? What does it have that makes a $150 difference, seeing it's been shot and stored in the trunk of a patrol car for years? Hopefully it was racked in the armory.

Police trade ins are notoriously under bid, $250-400 at most, and then marked up to market value of an almost new gun.

If you are wanting to buy an AR, better to figure out what features will fill your needs, drill down who offers that, and buy the right gun the first time. If all it needs to do is go Bang, the Bargain Bin does that.

Impulse buying almost always gets you less than a bargain.
