Bush wins New Mexico by 17 votes!!!!

Smart Democrats (few of which, by the way, seem to reside in Palm Beach County ...) are getting a bit goosier about pushing this discussion much further.

Today, NM. Tomorrow, perhaps WI, OR and IA?

It would be somewhat embarrassing to air all of their dirty laundry ...

And get this about Wisconsin!

WISCONSIN, 11 [electoral] VOTES
Bush lost the state by about 6,000 votes. There is no automatic recount, but a candidate may request one. The Bush campaign has said it is looking at that possibility.
Alleged voting irregularities, ranging from homeless Milwaukee men offered cigarettes in exchange for Gore votes and a “help yourself” stack of ballots at a Milwaukee polling place, could encourage the Bush campaign to request a recount, Wisconsin Republican Party spokesman Mick Walters said. No voter fraud has been charged anywhere in Florida...but I do see a valid accusation of fraud up north!!!!!

Again, the trademark of the Clinton/Gore administration, the diversion. With almost all eyes on Florida, the real dirt surfaces somehwere else.

The NM margin will be greater than 17. Most absentee ballots are cast by active duty military members and their dependants, and the overwhelming majority of career military personnel will support Bush. Therefore, when all the "straggling" absentee ballots are finally counted -- sometime next week -- Bush's NM victory margin will increase. This phenomenon could also impact Oregon, Florida, and other states "on the edge".

The GOP is trying to get the ballots impounded; 17 votes might be "adjusted" in Bernalillo County: "Hey, we just found another box of ballots!" The Democrat machine there is Chicago-style. Operatives at the precinct polls have voter lists and check off who has voted, turning in the lists every 2 hours. This allows the party to go out and round up anyone who hasn't voted, or to get someone to vote in their place. It is alleged that there are people who spend the day voting, going from precinct to precinct. Poll workers are poorly trained in how to operate the machines, completed ballots have a way of lying around on tables in unsecured rooms, "lost" boxes of ballots show up later in odd places, etc. 17 votes may not be a big challenge for this outfit to overcome if they need to.
