Bush to give us a pro-gun Supreme Court & lawsuit protection

Industry insiders and gunmakers gamble on winning political protection from a President Bush this November. There are many things which are believed possible with a pro-gun President. Plus 2 poll questions on machine guns. News at the "flowers" icon at:

I wouldn't count on it.

Bush will probably try to avoid any confirmation problems by giving us a couple of nice, moderate, Souter/O'Connor clones. And our chances for a 2nd decision will go right in the toilet.

W. has a long way to go to prove himself a friend of RKBA.

Later,

Bush is more of a friend to the RKBA than the Republicans in the Senate are. To make matters worse, it only takes 41 Senators to prevent progress on any issue. Without 60 solid pro-freedom Senators, you had better not count on the Senate helping us. You can probably count the true believers in the Senate on your fingers. Helms, Smith, Gramm, Ashcroft, Craig... any others? Do I really only need one hand?

Better Bush than Gore. Remember that Rehnquist is up for retirement and his post will need to be filled. There's a lot more at stake than just CCW or lawsuit protection.

Those who support the Constitution have been really lax in the past. We've learned that the Republicans, even if they control Congress, will rubber stamp whoever a Democratic Pres appoints. Look at the horrible Ginsburg and Breyer.

On the other hand see how horrible Souters been, and only a few Republicans raised questions about him.

This means we'd better be organized, even if Bush wins, and thoroughly vet any proposed Court member. If we find they don't give a darn about the constitution we'd better raise hell and quickly with some sort of organized campaign.

Amen, Valdez and Christopher. If this country and its candidates cared about the Constitution, there wouldn't be an NFA '34, GCA '68, and all of the trash we've allowed since then.

Kind of funny how we let them take so much away to begin with, now we're hoping that they'll "give" us a little something to tide us over...

When they deploy for a predawn vertical insertion with the clear intent of initiating a brutality event against multiple soft targets, you'd better be prepared to begin serious violence processing else you'll wind up in a pile of decommissioned aggressor quantum.
