Burris P.E.P.R question

Hey guy,

I just got a new AR-10 and I'm looking to do a scope red dot combo. I was thinking about getting the SWFA Super Sniper 10x or Millet TRS-1 with a Burris P.E.P.R mount and then putting a Burris Fastfire2 on that. The only thing I am worried about is that the red dot will not clear the turret on a tactical scope. Anybody have any experience with this? If it won't work any ideas?

Thanks

I tried it on a PEPR but quickly discovered a 1 o'clock mount works better - closer to the bore axis and you don't need to break your cheek weld - just slightly rotate the rifle.

If you use a riser on top of the PEPR your sight will be way up there.

Make sure your 1 o'clock mount sits out far enough to clear both the objective and the windage turret.

I tried using an aimpoint micro in a 45 degree YHM mount, but it sat too close to the scope and was occluded by the objective and turret.

I decided to go with the PEPR above since I'm already used to it with my ACOG/Jpoint combo.
