Burris or Aimpoint?

Which would you put on my Browning BLR?

Burris Fastfire II or Aimpoint C3?

Any problem mounting them on the barrel (scout mount) rather than on the receiver?

I know with Aimpoint I don't have to have my eye perfectly behind the dot and still hit target. Is this also true with the Burris?

I know the Burris is lighter but I'd bet the Aimpoint is more durable and also I prefer a 2 MOA dot rather than a 4 MOA.

About what does the Aimpoint plus mounts weigh?

Of course the Aimpoint is more expensive. I'm sure for good reasons.

I know regular scopes are a good option but I want to try one of these sights.

Appreciate your opinions.

Aimpoint comp 3...it is awesome.

Go to larue tactical and look at the aimpoint comp 3 and there quick release mounts. I can and do take my aimpoint off and on at will and it returns to zero every single time :)

Not sure the exact weight but the mounts are light :)
 
I have a Burris FastFire II and have used it on my M&P15 as well as my FNH SLP Mk1 shotgun. It has stood up to 12 gauge slugs. Burris claims it will and it has. Have also used it on a .22 LR Ruger Mark I.

Honestly, I am not 100% crazy about the elevation and windage adjustments (they have locking set screws that you first loosen about a 1/2 turn and then make the windage and elevation adjustment). But once they are dialed in, you won't be moving them so I guess it doesn't matter much. Burris supplies the small screwdriver for making the adjustments.

Other than that, I don't have anything bad to say about it. I'm sure it isn't an Aimpoint....but then neither is the price.
 
I got two Aimpoint Micro R-1's after Christmas, I am so lucky I did. They're great.

I actually would consider and in fact WANT a bigger Aimpoint for my S&W M&P 15-22. ... They're so light and small I'd like a little beef on them to tell the truth. I had planned on buying the cheapest Aimpoint, twhat the Comp C3? But that Micro R-1 sale was so great. I used on for my Bushmaster and one was destined for the 15-22... LSS I couldnt afford the mount right away for the 15-22, it went on my M930SPX, and its so awesome I never took it off.

I'd definitely want the Comp 3 on my 15-22.. but hte Pro looks awesome for $400!
