I have had the fortune of shooting a few rifles with the Burris scope line. While not the best scope in the world for sure, they hold there own pretty good. They ( as strange as it might sound) seem to have a odor to them. Now I have never had one that will pass the box test yet. If you ( being you mentioned Mil Dot) are going to sight it in at a set distance and use mil dot from there out,you will have no problem at all with them. They seem to hold zero very well and clarity is more than good enough ( yes even in early morning deer hunting). I have never had one to sight in yet that has been the new more costly ones, so I can not comment on them. If you are wondering I do a lot of sighting in for hunters every year,so I do get the opportunity to use many different brand names. I offer it as a service free of charge to most any one. You buy the ammo, I will mount and zero your scope. Now before I get beat up here. Lots of people don''t have the time or the patience for this job, so I do it for them.
