Does anyone know anything about the Burgess pump .12 gauge? I have the opportunity to buy one that has a high grade of engraving. I know they came in several grade. This one has to be 90%. Also, does anyone know ehere I could go to get info on these guns?? How do you load a 12.5" shotgun shell? Ken DROVER Burlington, Ontario Canada

According to my records the Burgess Gun Co of Buffalo, New York was established by Andrew Burgess in 1892. They mfg'd slide acton shotguns and rifles operated by a unique pistol grip prior to their being purchased by the Winchester Repeating Arms co in 1899. Guns gased on Burgess, patents were mfg'd by a variety of American gunmakers. Serial numbers for all Burgess shotguns begin @ 1000.
