Bumbag, waist coat or backpack-how do you carry accessories when hunting?

Do you wear a waist coat, carry a back pack or a bum bag when you hunt?

What do you use, what have you tried? what works, what doesn't.

If you mean one of them "fanny pack" things, I tried it once. was comfortable to wear and did the job but i just couldnt get over the feeling that all my buddies were laughing behind my back....
 
Backpack. It will carry all you need and more. The bad thing with a backpack is knowing when to say when however. I tend to get carried away and every year go back and review what I carry in my pack. Extra gloves, knit hat, calls, spare knife and water are all I really need but other items find their way in. Before you know, you've got every thing but the kitchen sink in it.
 
Primarily carry a backpack. For me it's taking off up a ridge for several miles at 10K+ altitude. You go whether there is snow or not. I tend to need a fair variety of things to include emergency supplies. But as Krezyhorse said, you have to learn to weed things out also.

I carry everything out in a large backpack along with a couple contractor grade garbage bags. I carry everything out once, pack everything into the garbage bags at the end of the day to keep dry and leave it in the woods. Bring it all back in at the end of the season. Cold weather/artic type clothing stay out in the woods too. I dont know about you, but I tend to sweat my butt off hiking in and out with all the cold weather gear on.
 
Bum bag?

Is that one of those plasic shopping bags they give out free?

I carry everything I might need for a 1/2 a day on stand on a GI pistol belt: knife, hatchet, stoney point shooting sticks, rangefinder, first aid kit, compass, water bottle, .357 ...... spare hat and gloves, permits, dried apple chips, go in hunting coat pockets.
 
Jimbo 86- no its not a retail bag!. Bum bag is Australian for Fanny Pack.

By back packs do those of you using backpacks use large hiking packs or day packs. What is the pack made out of?.

I have an Australian army issue day pack that is very comfortable but makes an un-natural noise as most synthetics do when rubbed against bushes.
 
Fanny packs get in the way too much. They interfere with sitting down, and I always have the feeling they will slide down my legs. The weight in them is centered too low in the back. As a result, I have been using a back pack for 35 years. Back packs work well. The weight in them is centered high up in the back and is easily managed.
 
I use a small camo day-pack. Bought it years ago at Wally-world I think. Made of some type of fleece, very quiet in the brush
