I'm looking for plans to make a bullet trap for my basement range, and can't find any. Something that would handle .38/9mm. I've got a .22 bullet trap, and it works fine, but I'd like to shoot the bigger iron sometimes. Yes, my air-handler has ducts in the basement and a HEPA filter, so I'm not too worried about lead.
I'm fairly handy with a table saw, drill, and router. I'm guessing (and only guessing at this point) that a 18"x18" piece if 1/4" steel and some 3/4" plywood might work.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
