Bullet seating

Hello everyone I am having an issue with my rcbs press. I am reloading 22-250 vmax bullets in a nosler case but I keep getting a .002 to .003 differences on bullet seating will this cause a problem with accuracy?
Thanks
Peyton

I'm sure the more experienced guys will give more details but I don't believe .002-.003 will make any difference at all. The human error measuring COL with my dial calipers, at least for me, is probably within that range.

Real question is how do they shoot? Hunter's are willing to do all kinds of thing's to get another 1/8th inch from their loads. Not worth the effort. Then again I fool with a rifle till I'm at or under an inch. I've only shot at one animal in my life over about 250yds, it was at 330 yds. Could have done that with a load going maybe 1 1/2". Better group's come more from practice than reloading!

2 or 3 thou in OAL? That's less than the thickness of a sheet of regular copy paper. Won't make any difference at all.

Bullets are far from perfect, they very. Its completely normal.

.003 is doing good. Probably see more variation with more samples.

The book data is usually safe, keeps you out of the lands.

How are you measuring? Using calipers and measuring bullet tip to case base? Is so, within 2-3 thou is doing great. If you want to get a little more accurate, grab a hornady comparator for your calipers with corresponding insert for your caliber. With this tool you can make a really good match accurate ammo.
