"bullet Proof Vests"

Hey all.....

I know there is no such thing as a "Bulletproof Vest" , only bullet resistant!!

Is it legal for a civilian, non military, non police, etc to own such "Body Armor"??

I realize it could vary from state to state, country to country.

How about here in Georgia, where I reside?

News on Atlanta, said something about finding said articles in with some firearms, etc!! Couldn't catch the newscast.

Didn't know it was illegal to have these items!!

Any input? I tried to Google it, didn't get much info.

Thanks!!!!!!1

Feel free to move, if this is inappropriate forum!!!!!

Thanks to all!!!!!!!!

why would body armor be illegal to own or wear? I know that doesn't answer your question but you got me curious too. I ask that question to my CHL instructor and looked in the Texas CC guide and both said it's not illegal in texas.

Body armor of all kinds is legal in most places in the US, although there are companies run by statist jerks who will only sell to the King's Men and not to us lowly serfs. One good place to get it is here:

http://www.bulletproofme.com/

I bought mine at Botach Tactical with no problems, but beware: many, many customers have complained about that company, and it has an F rating from the Better Business Bureau. Try BulletProofMe instead, or maybe someone else here has another suggestion.

Expect body armor to be generally outlawed or tightly restricted one day for the same reason they want to outlaw any gun that could be used effectively in combat: because they want to have absolute power and keep us peasants in our place. It might only take another incident similar to the North Hollywood shootout to get the ball rolling in that direction.

A full set of body armor costs about as much as good rifle. For those who already own at least a couple of reliable rifles, it makes a lot of sense to buy body armor (and even night vision) before buying yet another gun.

Incidentally, I consider body armor, gas masks, and night vision devices to be protected by the Second Amendment just as much as firearms. These tools fit under the rubric of "arms" and are even export-restricted for that reason. Second Amendment supporters need to oppose legislation aimed at restricting these items just as much as we oppose gun control laws.

Thanks.......

Thanks to one and all.:)

That's what I hoped to hear, just wanted verification!;)

I figured it was another Atlanta Journal Constitution anti gun broadcast.:barf: The AJC is notorious in it's anti gun agenda!

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!:D
