Built this today

Finally got around to building my shooting tree today. I think it turned out pretty well. Too bad it's pouring down rain right now and I can't get out to shoot.

Good looking there Z, . . . what gauge of steel did you use for the plates and arms?

Also, . . . where did you get the plans, . . . or did you just create it in your head?

May God bless,
Dwight

I used 3/8" thick steel plate for the targets. The target and arm is one piece of steel. (If someone has a problem with it not being AR-500 please keep it to yourself. I've used this steel for numerous targets and I don't have any problem with denting. It's only used for handguns so it's not like its getting hit by a rifle.)

I came up with the plans from what I've seen of others. When I get home this afternoon I'll add the drawings to this thread. I created a full set of detail drawings.

I used Plasma cutter, small 110v Lincoln mig welder, and a couple different band saws.

Hopefully that little welder I used, created a hot enough weld to hold up to getting shot.
