Building AR around Eotech EXPS3-2 AR INPUT?

So I am purchasing a AR for use with an EOTech EXPS3-2 HWS HOLOgraphic Weapon Sight. I have already purchased the site and am now hunting for an AR. Would like some feedback if anyone is running the same set up or has input. Right now I am leaning heavily towards the Rock River Elite Operator 2 with dominator 2 Eotech Mount, see below link.

A good friend of mine has a similar RRA setup, only his doesn't have the imitation SOPMOD stock. It's a nice setup, however both of us chose the XPS3-0 instead of the XPS3-2 as the two dots on the latter are little more difficult to focus on.

Have you looked at BCM or Spikes instead of RRA? RRA essentially builds commercial grade ARs. Try calling them like I did and asking if their barrels are MPId or if they use Carpenters steel for their bolts. :rolleyes:
 
That's the new smaller EOTech huh?
I'd think it would co-witness with rail mount folding BUIS so any flat top AR should do.
I've got a AA powered EOTech and Troy folding battle sights on my S&W M&P15T and they co-witness perfectly.

Get a BCM Colt DD etc...

Then buy a riser. I'm useing a Yankee Hill Machine EoTech riser for my EoTech 512 couldn't be happier.

First I have seen someone pick the sight first then the gun around it, but hey why not.....

PSA does not sell there own brand complete rifles anymore, but they still sell there complete uppers and lowers for a pretty good price, they are mil spec and the two I have built with there uppers and lowers have been great.

Colt 6920 from DSG arms for $945. Then add a LaRue Eotech mount and a Magpul MBUS rear sight

Firearm:Rock River Elite Operator 2 with dominator 2 Eotech Mount (A2) sight

I recently made the purchase of the firearm listed above along with the EoTech. I ran into an issue however while setting up the EoTech. The A2 rear sight on the dominator is well below the Eotech. Even forward towards the front is still not an option. I had hoped for 1/3 co-witness but it is still not possible. With that I wrote today to RRA tech support. Waiting for a response on my options. Maybe a flip up rear and base? Should know soon enough. What was the outcome in your situation?
