Building a G34 Gamer Gun

I bought a G34 Gen4 (grey frame) to use primarily for SSP division of IDPA, and a bit of Steel Challenge. I want to mod this gun as much as I can (within reason) while staying SSP legal, not because it will make me better, but because I want to and I can:D. Listed below is what I have planned. Any comments or suggestions are welcome:

10-8 Performance Sights w/ 0.115" wide x 0.235" tall fiber optic front and 0.140" wide u-notch rear

Vogel Competition Trigger System

Pearce frame insert

Talon Grips - granular

OEM extended mag release

Jäger steel guide rod - heavy

Wolff 15 lb recoil spring

CompTac International holster

Good holster choice. Another good choice is Garrett Industries.

Hard for me to know how to build a Glock.
 
guide rod?

Not sure at all, as I am not an IDPA shark and only shoot in our localopn club matches a bit, but..........

I wonder if the "heavy" guide rod will bounce you out of SSP and into ESP. Now that I consider it, might the after market trigger do same?

I acquired a G34 a couple of years ago for the explicit purpose of shooting in our local club matches. My scores and standing at matches jumped overnight......as long as my head is in the game. Love mine, pure stock.
