You are probably referring to a cookie that TFL gave you. You probably used a spy-ware program that told you they had given you a tracking cookie. The cookie is the reason you don't have to type in your password and log-in every time, as well as a host of other features.

If they wanted to sell your information to marketers there is not even a need for a "tracking bug" as it is already kept in record. There isn't any valuable information aside from E-mail adresses anyway.

How many firearms related unsolicited e-mails have you recieved latley?

It is a common misconception that all cookies are bad and they leak information about you to unwanted sources and its really just paranoia.

Hopefully a moderator will post and fully explain it, but I don't think you will find a forum with the capabilities and features of this one that does not utilize cookies.

It is the type of cookie that you have to watch out for. Update you browser, and you don't have to worry. Do not open funny games from people, or even most online crds, or things like that. I have Zonealarm, and it will tell me if a site is trying to put 3rd party cookies, which are advertisements usually. Cookies and sights that used advanced feature, are basci now, especially search engines. Look at hom many screen sizes there are, and most of thetime most sights fit pretty well in your monitor, because they read your setting, and actuall program that page to your setting, and color schemes. Remember when websites were barely interactive?
