BUG Saves the Day

well, kinda

Shooting our monthly 50yd silhouette match this morning with my S&W 629 when I got a squib.

Since it was the iron sight class, I quickly loaded the CCO and dropped the last three targets.
(don't ask me to do that again)

Glad I had it handy as a backup.

Ended up finishing 2nd in both irons and optics

I was able to pop a "stop balloon" at 45 yards once with my CCO, to end my timed interval. And don't ask me to do that again! I know I could not.

But I do not see a CCO as a BUG. I mean, it has the slide of a Commander, so I consider it a primary.

But then I was not carrying that big scoped revolver.

The CCO was just a BUG during the silhouette match.

It's my primary carry with a Kahr CM9 as a carry BUG.

I like your choice of carry guns.

The little Kahr guns are nice, being slim and light and having a trigger that is easy to fire when you want, but not too easy to fire. In other words, not prone to trigger goofs that cause a bang.

And I like the "dot-over-post" sights. They just seem to line up easier tor me than the 3-dot type.
