Budget .50

I have been wanting a .50 BMG rifle so bad I can taste it. I don't know what I want it for, I just want it. However, I don't know how I am going to tell my wife that I want a $2000 to $3000 dollar rifle, plus the scope, plus the reloading gear. Then, I saw this at SSK.

It looks promising. Do any of you know anything or have any experiance with this company and/or product. I will probably email them for more info, but I wanted to ask my fellow TFLers first. Thanks.

It may be an excellent rifle, but I would consider:

very few people shoot .50

even less shoot this particular wildcat .50

if it isn't a roaring success, finding ammo will be impossible, as will reloading supplies, leaving you with a very expensive wallhanger


Jerry Gordon at G-Tec will build you a bolt action single shot .50 receiver for about $900. The barrel is about $250. you can either get a stock from him or arrange to build your own. He's had military contracts for the suppressors he builds for them.

he's backlogged, but I recommend his work.
