Buckmark Rifle

I picked up the Buckmark Rifle tonight and can't wait to get to the range and break it in. Does anyone else have one of these? If so, what are your comments and experiences thus far?

thanks,

I have the target model and I am distinctly underwhelmed. It's not terribly accurate. I had trouble getting groups under 2 inches at 50 yards from a rest and some ammo scattered shots all over the place. I suspect is is ammo sensitive and the sharply angled feed ramp may be damaging the bullets before they go into the chamber. The CCI Stingers were very inaccurate and some ammo, notably, Remington Yellow Jackets sprayed powder particles into your face.

It does have an ultra high "cool" factor and is stone reliable.

It just seemed a little too pricey for what it is-----the T/C Classic can be had for a lot less and seems a better rifle to me. Sorry----I hope you have fun with yours.

Sorry for the not so great experiences that you guys have had. Tomorrow will be the trial run for me. Am going to be shooting some Remington Sub-Sonic ammo and some Elay target rounds. The sub-sonics have done great in all other .22s so we'll see how they perform for me.

Congrats. I am green with envy.
I want one.

Fantastic design and would be PERFECT for teaching a shooter how to shoot a rifle and then transition to a pistol!

I really want one...
With a pistol together to complete a very nice set.
(The only .22 pistol I put over the Buckmark is the Trailside.)

Buckmark rifle

I have the standard model with sights. I love mine and found it to be at its best functioning and accuracy with CCI Mini Mags. I tried Federal and remington in the bulk pack and found both to be dirty. The CCI keeps on shooting. Looking forward to squirrel season with the sights.

I had the same experience as PJR. Target model gave me 2.5" 10-shot groups at 50 yds. from sandbags. I used a variety of ammo including Fed Gold Medal Target, Rem Target, Rem/Eley Target Rifle, Win Super X and CCI MiniMag. Not a decent group in the bunch. I've decided to run a brick or two of ammo through it to see if it will settle in. I mounted a Tasco Propoint 5 on it. It is an awesome looking piece. The mag release on mine is difficult to engage.

The T/C Classic is a beautiful rifle and much more accurate than the initial Buckmark results. 3/4" groups at 50 yds with the same ammo as above and I believe it can get better. Using the T/C Classic 2.5-7X28 rimfire scope.
